New Life Church Craft Fair!

I just wanted to say how much fun I had on this Craft Fair! I met so many great people. Thank you to everyone that stopped by! I had such an amazing time sharing my passion for scrapbooking with all of you.

It is very rare that I get to spend time with Axel on these events since he gets to stay home with the kids. This time however I was able to spend the day with him! He is such an amazing husband and so supportive! You should've seen him in action! He was a hit with the ladies! It's so cool to see how much he knows, you can see how truly excited he is. I loved what he did with the display, he is such a big helper! :)

Halloween Photo Card

My brother was invited to a Halloween Party last Saturday. He wanted to give all attending a little something to remember the party by. He asked me to create something for them of course! He was going to take pictures of everyone in costume and wanted to give them as a keepsake.

I'm baaack!!!

Finally! It's been way too long since I posted anything here. Well, I'll fill you in! I attended Leadership Conference back in July. I had an amazing time with my fellow CTMH sisters and the corporate staff! I got a copy of the brand new Idea Book, which by now you all know how amazing it is!!! We created tons of new artwork and had a preview of all the new products!!

During August I hosted my New Catalog Bash Open House and everyone that attended received a free Fall/Winter Catalog!! We played games, created art, enjoyed all the new product displays, shared a fun time with friends and snacked on yummy food!!

September welcomed the new Workshops on the Go Monthly Kits!! 17 of you created beautiful artwork with one of the brand new paper packs from the new catalog, Twitterpated!

Now in October we just created beautiful pages with the Grace paper pack! In between all this fun my family has been busy enjoying new activities, like Girl Scouts, and now we are getting over sickness :(

These Thank you cards were super easy to make. I wanted for the teachers to have a hand made card to give to their parent volunteers.






The stationary set had an insert that I just couldn't make it work! I think it looks good like this, don't you think? This teacher was retiring so I thought she wouldn't need the Thank You cards as much. I just made different occasion cards. From "Happy Birthday" to "Thinking of you", this set has them all!!

Here's some art!

I created this 2 page layout in February for my scrap club. I used the That's Amore level 2 paper pack, the February Stamp of the Month - Easter Eggs for the flower and 2 different My Acrylix Stamp sets. Hope you like!

A recap!

Wow! It's been awhile since I was here!! A lot has happened since too! My "hunny" was gone for school for a very long 6 weeks! I had a rough April. I hurt my back during Good Friday mass. As I started to feel better I had an encounter with at tooth pick. The toothpick won! It went into the bottom of my foot and broke off. I had to go to the doctor and he got it out by cutting on the bottom of my foot and giving me stitches, my first stitches ever!! And I was really excited too!! I kept telling and showing everyone my stitches. I can't wait to scrapbook those pictures ;)

In May we celebrated my daughter's First Communion. Wow, she looked like an angel! My mom and brother were here during this special day. Now with them gone, things are starting to go back to normal. I'm working on my 2 page layout for my club tomorrow and a card for my gathering next week.

Well, that's all for now. Sorry for being out of touch for so long. I'll make it up by sharing some art soon! Until then, take to create!!

Where have you been???

This is what you're probably wondering, huh? Well, I've been cleaning and sick, yuck! I say very sadly that I haven't "played" in a while. That's about to change though :) Tomorrow I have my first club meeting of the year, yay!! The beautiful That's Amore paper is waiting for me at the table to play with it... I will post a picture probably tomorrow of the completed 2 page layout.

The difference it made...

Today I received an email from one of my friends. I had asked her to comment on her experience at last year's Album Retreat. I was so touched to find out the difference it had made. She is so proud of her album. Here is what she had to say about her experience:

"When I signed up for the Album Retreat last year I was very nervous for two reasons; one, I was new to scrapbooking and didn't know what to expect and two, I didn't tell my husband how much I spent and was worried he would find out. But once I got there and began working on my album I wasn't worried about either. Alex made the layouts so easy to follow it was impossible, even for me a scrapbooking rookie, to mess up and when I was finished it was such a beautiful piece of art that I knew it was worth the money and my husband didn't care how much it cost us once I put our family's memories into it. My album from the retreat was my first real project and it is still the first thing that I bring out, to show off, when friends or family come over. It was MORE than worth it... THANK YOU ALEX!!"

Sharing pics from the customer Album Retreat 2008!

With this year's album retreat coming up I wanted to share some pictures from last years. As you can tell we had a blast! We were a little cramped at the table, last minute change of plans! My husband had a death in the family and had to leave right away the day before the retreat. Since I couldn't bring the girls with me to the place I had reserved we had to go to one of my friend's house. Thank you Nicole, you saved me! We all shared Nicole's dining table and at the end of the day completed 15 pages and my girls were able to play with Nicole's kids. It was a fabulous day. Let's hope my hunny doesn't bail on me this time around! LOL! Enjoy the pics!

Brrr!!!

Our furnace broke the other night and it was 66 degrees when we got up in the morning! Maybe not a big deal for most of you, but remember that I grew up in the Caribbean it was freezing!! Thankfully it was a nice day out and heat was not needed throughout the day. By 5 pm it was all fixed and warm. Kind of funny how the small comforts make a big difference.
